Self confidence

alrighty then, let's start blogging! Today I made a video, weird right? But I wanted to express my view about teenage girls (and sometimes boys) and self confidence issues. I feel super strongly about this because I am a teenage girl myself and I see a lot of this happening around me.

In my silly little video, I talk about what self confidence means and what the lack of it can do to you, and although I am not a super self-consious person, I have had my fair share of experiences which I will always remember for being super embarrasing. I also wanted to cover the social media, because in modern society it plays a huge part. As you probably know, I do this for fun, but to a lot of girls, they feel the need to post pictures of themselves so that verything they do is on show. It is as if to say "look what I am doing, my life is so great!" which is fair enough, but sometimes it takes over people's lives.

And I also babble on about "POSERS" which they are sometimes called, although I hate to say it. These are the people who feel like they are nothing without the opinions of others. Those posts that say "opinions?" or "might delete!" because let's be honest, those are not the people that actually need support or who are actually self consious, those are the people that want attention, because they know they will always get a "oh you are gorgeous!" and "oh god you should be a model!". Stuff like that is said by your friends, in real life, not commenters on a computer or a phone. Since when did screens matter so much? Since when did all girls care if someone taps a few words out on a keyboard?

Just as a disclaimer, if you are like that, I don't really understand you. Why not give it a break, feel a bit more confident and not ask for opinions, if anyone actually felt anything (which many do), they will voice it to you! I know that what I am doing now is tapping words on a computer and showing you what I do sometimes, but I do this for fun, I couldn't care less if I got lots of people reading this, this is for my own amusement, helping you is just a much appreciated side-effect!
