FINALLY! Another oufit of the week. Sorry I haven't been as productive, there is only so much blogging a girl can take! Yes, I know, I have been on hols for a week so should have have a lot of "laptop time" as my chums and I call it, but I have been pretty busy! Anyway, back to the relevant post! This week's outfit is a tad more springy ( that's a word right?), which is good because, although I love snuggling up in the winter, I have gotten pretty bored and I want to get into the new season! However, as my friend Lucy said to me today, "it isn't Spring." Well Lucy, although that dampened my feelings, you will not rain on my parade!

So we will start with the gorgeous chiffon top which I wear underneath the pinafore. It is from H&M (!) and I love it but I don't think they sell it anymore (*sadface*). It is all chiffony and a bit see-through so I either wear a coat to protect my back from preying eyes (oh my gosh! What is wrong with me! Why did I write that!?) or I wear a white tank to underneath. The sleeves are all loosey goosey with a pretty trim and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! Down the middle of the top are these weird straight ruffle things which are folded. They look cute and pretty though, even if I don't know their name. they make the top a bit more boxy which is okay because it is a very girly style anyway. Next to these ruffle things are two strips (on each side) of pretty floral design which is very minimalist but it is super cute anyway. The hem is really lovely and adds to the girliness of the top, it is ruffled and is the same light design as the strips down the side of the top. I love this top a lot because it is very elegant and light. I tucked this into my pinafore so my outfit came in at my waist a bit more so it looked a bit more girly and springy because the top is quite boxy.

I wanted this look to be semi-formal and also suiting to the weather. So I found a lovely addition which really makes this outfit. I plunged into my draws and found this lovely pinafore from ASOS. It is light wash and not really denim. It is a very soft and loose material but is synced in at the waist by a band which fits nicely on me. This was so cute and I don't really know why I don't wear it that much. I sort of wanted a new approach to clothing this Spring. I always say to myself "Lauren! This Spring you WILL wear pastels and light colours!". But I always end up in the same black jeans and brown tops and grey hoodies ETC. So I adore this item of clothing now, I also love it because of the skirt, it makes the outfit pretty and loose and girly but it also very comfortable!

And finally I thought it would be essential to put in a coat because it isn't hot enough to run around in short sleeves yet! So I chose this simple black duffle coat which is really warm and very practical. I think it is from Primark and it is quite old but you can get them virtually everywhere. I think, although it is simple, it is also quite delicate and girly which adds to the look. I can wear this coat with almost anything. The fur on the hood is also lovely. In the summer you could just wear a cardigan or you can mix it up a bit with a leather jacket to make it more casual if you like!
I hope you enjoyed this late addition to the "outfit of the week" family. I love this outfit A LOT! Last week I showed you a very wintery outfit and I wanted a change. I would wear this to town or even to a dinner if you want! If it is cold I would suggest throwing on some black tights as they go with the outfit well. Otherwise, I wear skin coloured tights, or, if I am being brave, I go bear legged. But I don't think it is THAT warm yet!
It's been great talking to you,
see you later.
