Outfit of the week #6

Hey! Sorry about the long delay and my not posting of an outfit last week, but I have had a lot going on. To be honest, I am a bit disapointed in myself! But let's move on! I wanted to keep to bright colours and pastels for spring, I really did! I just didn't have much in my wardrobe other than the pastel coloured pieces I have already shown you, so I thought I would have a cute look which I had to hand. Well, sort of, I may have bought most of the pieces of clothing online yesterday (I got a bit excited over the deals).

So here it is! I must admit, I do like it a lot. It is not in pastel colours and is a bit more toned down and in my comfort zone with the boots and the parka, but the crop top gives it an edgy and summery look. So we will start with the top I guess! It is from Newlook Petite (because I am a midget) and was £7.99 which was a good deal. It has nautical stripes which make it seem summery and a cool asymmetric bottom bit with two overlapping pieces of fabric. It is also high back so I was cautious about any straps being seen but it isn't too obvious. It fits me well and I think it makes me look very slim and I felt really good wearing it, really pretty. Weird right? But I think this will be a staple for the spring and summer months because it can be matched with dark leathers etc, but also bright yellows for the summer!

Around my neck I am wearing a sweet charm necklace given to me as a present from Turkey. I love how simple it is because sometimes chunky jewellery can look a bit weird on my, especially with tops like this. The chain is silver and the pendant is a very small teardrop shape with bright blue and crystal rhinestones which make a pattern. The rhinestones are very small and delicate and I love the look it gives. I don't know how much it was as I wasn't there when it was purchased but you can find necklaces like this almost anywhere.

The jeans I am wearing are from ASOS and, although they are quite plain, I love them a lot. They are one of the comfiest jeans I have ever worn and they go with everything. In this outfit the main features were the boots and the top so I didn't want to detract from the patterns. I tucked the bottoms into my boots. They are quite high-waisted which is good because I didn't want my whole stomach on show (ew). These will stay in my wardrobe for a long time, I think.

In some of the photos I am also wearing a parka which is from Internationel but I think they closed down a while ago (I loved that shop). It is khaki green and goes with everything; I especially loved it through the cold months because even though it is thin, it covers your arms to stop the cold getting in. So until the weather truly decides to perk up (and not just turning the sun on and of like some crazed old person trying to work out why the wifi won't work), I will be wearing this coat quite often.

And finally are the boots, which I adore. You are probably thinking "oh Lauren, you said you wouldn't wear dark colours, tan is an autumnal colour wawawa!", and yes I know that. But I couldn't resist! The sales get me, also, the design of these boots is unlike any I have had before! They are peeptoe with laces and a block heel and I love them! It allows you to wear boots without socks, but still cover your feet and ankled. These were £10 from NewLook in the sales so I grabbed myself a pair and I love them! And anyway, you can never have enough shoes.

I hope you enjoyed this delayed post, I will post something else this week and then I will do the outfit of the week for you (now I have said it I feel that I have to, good reverse pyshicology Lauren hehe).

It's been great talking to you,

see you later.

P.S, I hope you liked the new style I did it in (sort of), I know the lighting is weird but we were outside in the wilderness and the sun cannot be tamed! I am quite happy with how some of the photos came out, how about you?

P.P.S, I might do a video about this so expect an updated version to see the video, or go and subscribe to my channel if you really want to!

P.P.P.S, sorry if I don't get the video done!
